Quiet. Natural. Deeply considered.
The details that shape everyday life matter most. Here is what residents and their families value most about the way we do things.
A Natural Setting
Pine forests, walking trails, a dock on the water, and seasonal outdoor programming. The Muskoka landscape is woven into the rhythm of every day.
Meals Made with Care
On-site dining with local ingredients, seasonal menus, and attention to each resident's preferences. Meals are a time to gather, not just to eat.
Respectful Support
Staff are available around the clock for transportation, mail, activity coordination, and everyday assistance β always with discretion and warmth.
Community Without Pressure
Monthly community gatherings, shared studios, and common reading spaces create connection at a pace that respects each person's comfort.
Family Always Welcome
From casual visits to full multi-day family reunions, muskokiqqs is designed to welcome the people who matter most to each resident.
Programming for Every Season
Snowshoeing and fireside storytelling in winter. Canoeing and gardening in summer. Watercolours and nature walks throughout. Life here changes with the season.
Come see it for yourself.
A short visit or a quiet phone conversation is often the simplest way to get a feel for whether muskokiqqs might be right for you or someone you love.
Things people often ask us
Is muskokiqqs a medical care facility?
No. muskokiqqs provides non-medical senior living services, including accommodation, meals, nature programming, and lifestyle support. We do not offer nursing care or medical services. Many residents maintain their own relationships with healthcare providers in the Bracebridge area.
How does the Weekend Retreat work if we are considering residency?
The retreat is designed as a relaxed, low-pressure way to experience life at muskokiqqs firsthand. Guests join the community for a weekend β meals, activities, conversations with current residents β with no obligation of any kind. After the visit, we offer a follow-up conversation to answer questions and discuss next steps if you wish.
What does the monthly base amenity fee for full residency cover?
The CAD $510 base amenity fee covers access to communal spaces including the dining room, craft studio, and reading room, as well as outdoor areas and trails. Meals, transportation support, and seasonal programming are included. We encourage you to reach out to discuss what the full picture looks like for your particular situation.
Can family members visit regularly, outside of the reunion package?
Absolutely. Family is always welcome at muskokiqqs. The Family Reunion Hosting Package is specifically designed for multi-day group gatherings with accommodation and catering. For shorter or informal visits, family members are welcome any time.
What does a typical day look like for a full resident?
Each day reflects the season and each resident's preferences. Mornings might begin with breakfast in the communal dining room, followed by a trail walk or a session in the craft studio. Afternoons vary β a canoe outing, a quiet hour in the reading room, or a casual gathering around the fire. The goal is a pace that feels genuinely comfortable, not scheduled.
Is the Family Reunion package available year-round?
The Family Reunion Hosting Package is available spring through autumn, typically from late April to mid-October. We recommend booking several months in advance to ensure your preferred dates are available.
